Welcome to
Northland Birth Stories.
Northland Birth Stories is about helping mums-to-be by providing resources and birth stories for pregnant mothers and families living in Northland and Far North New Zealand.
Personal stories and experiences are important and that’s why we would love you to share your birth story!
Our Northland mums have learned so much from their experience; the birth, the knowledge gained thereafter, things to be grateful for, things they would do differently, things they would recommend to others... we all have experience to share!
Here you can:
- Read real birth stories written by mamas who have labored and birthed in our beautiful Northland and Far North.
- Check out some useful pregnancy links and resources relevant to pregnant mums and families living in the Far North. Topics such as labour, maternity care, birth choices, baby loss support, parenting classes and more.
- Share your own birth story! It may be: blissful, painful, happy, scared, grateful, disappointed, proud, honest. . . so other women can learn from ALL of us.
- Download the handy, printable guide "Am I in labour?" a good source of info for labouring mum and support person, relevant to Northland. For use alongside the advice of your midwife.
